Neo Hawthorn 45 Capsules

Hawthorn is a deciduous tree or shrub from the Rosaceae family. It is closely related to the Celts and its mystic folklore. In fact, it is considered a sacred tree.

The active part of this shrub are the flowering tops, which contain flavonoids and proanthocyanidins. The firsts include heterosides, apigenin and quercetin; the latters, include the pycnogenols. Other important compounds found in this plant are caffeic and chlorogenic acids, aromatic amines, fatty triterpenes and minerals.

Properties

Traditionally, Hawthorn has been used as:

Cardiotonic and antiarrhythmic: it strengthens cardiac contraction (inotropic) and decreases the heart’s excitability (negative batmotrope).

Antioxidant and cardioprotective: thanks to its inhibitory effect on certain enzymes and the synthesis of certain substances in the heart muscle.

Main indications

Mild heart failure.

Changes in heart or circulatory functions.

Prevention of angina pectoris.

Arrhythmia of nervous origin.

Directions

1 or 2 capsules daily, with a glass of water.

Warnings

Do not combine this plant with medications containing cardiotonic heterosides or benzodiazepines, unless under the supervision of a specialist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: It is not recommended to take.
