This oil is obtained by distillation from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, tree native to Australia.

This oil was used by the natives of this country for its antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, healing and expectorant.

All these properties together with not having any toxicity, have been recognized by the Australian Department of Health.

Indications: Skin: For its anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-microbial is used in the treatment of warts, skin affected by acne, wounds, herpes, chicken pox, athlete's foot, gynecological infections of fungal character, ingrown nails, thrush, gingivitis , earache and conjunctivitis.

Hair: it used against lice to eradicate or as a preventative. As a regulator of the sebaceous glands of the scalp is used in greasy hair and their antifungal properties to treat some types of dandruff.
